Great for high-speed, large-area cleaning, this Eureka upright vacuum is simple, maneuverable, and strong. Though not appropriate for bare floors, the vacuum features six different carpet-nap settings, tuned with an easy-access dial that ranges from low pile to thick plush. The no-nonsense construction of the vacuum makes it easy to push and turn, while the wide bumper protects furniture and baseboards. The dirt collection system combines a permanent cloth bag with a transparent dust cup that detaches and lifts off for easy dumping and rinsing. The brush roll on this machine sweeps and combs the carpet and is made of wood for long-lasting use. Three handle positions--adjusted with a foot pedal--include one flush with the floor for cleaning under couches and beds. Though this model isnt the easiest to carry up and down stairs (it has no helper handle), its great for apartments, single-story homes, and businesses.
